TextLantern is a Discord translator bot built for people and communities who talk across languages. For yourself, you can right-click any message on Discord desktop, open Apps, and choose Translate privately, so only you see the translation while the original message stays untouched. You can also type /t, write a reply in your own language, pick the target language, and copy the result to send yourself, so the bot never speaks for you. For servers, admins choose a channel and two main languages, and recognized messages in either language are translated into the other as a reply or in a thread. Extra reader languages, up to eight per channel, can be automatic or on request. TextLantern supports 92 translation languages, including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Spanish, Russian, Arabic and its dialects, Hindi, French, German and Portuguese. The website and app interface come in nine languages. It needs only specific permissions, not Administrator, and setup happens on the web app.
